SaaS Model (Retailer) FAQs

Questions regarding software integration, landed cost APIs, checkout plugins, and automated shipping.

World2Door SaaS connects your e-commerce storefront directly to our real-time landed cost calculation engine. When an international customer adds items to their shopping cart, our API automatically evaluates the Harmonized System (HS) tariff codes, destination country import duties, local VAT/GST rates, and dynamic courier shipping fees to present an accurate, guaranteed total cost at checkout.

We offer pre-built turnkey plugins for Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud. For custom e-commerce platforms, we provide a robust RESTful API and GraphQL SDK with complete developer documentation for seamless integration within a few days.

Through our DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) checkout feature, duties and taxes are collected upfront directly from the buyer during cart checkout. World2Door SaaS then remits these funds to border authorities on your behalf, eliminating unexpected surprise fees or package rejections upon delivery.

No. We offer flexible subscription plans (Growth, Pro, and Enterprise) designed to accommodate emerging retailers shipping a few dozen orders a month as well as high-volume enterprise merchants processing thousands of cross-border orders daily.

We adhere to rigorous data privacy standards compliant with the UAE Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and GDPR. All API calls, customer address records, and webhooks are encrypted in transit via TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256 bit encryption within isolated tenant environments.

Yes! World2Door SaaS automatically generates unified tracking numbers and branded tracking portals. Your customers receive automated SMS and email notifications with real-time status updates from origin warehouse dispatch all the way to final door delivery.

Cargo & Freight Logistics FAQs

Questions regarding air cargo, ocean freight, customs clearance, and door-to-door courier shipments.

World2Door Cargo provides end-to-end freight forwarding solutions including Air Freight Express, Ocean Freight (FCL full container load & LCL less-than-container load), Cross-Border Land Trucking, Door-to-Door Courier Delivery, and Customs Clearance Services originating from the UAE to global destinations.

You can track any cargo consignment by entering your Air Waybill (AWB) or Container Bill of Lading (BOL) number on our online tracking portal or mobile updates platform to view real-time location checkpoints, transit milestones, and estimated port arrival dates.

Standard customs clearance documents include the Commercial Invoice, Detailed Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Bill of Lading / Air Waybill, and valid UAE Import Code / Commercial Trade License. For personal cargo, a copy of Emirates ID or Passport is required.

In compliance with IATA aviation safety and UAE Customs regulations, restricted items include hazardous chemicals, flammable liquids, explosives, weapons, counterfeit goods, and narcotics. Dangerous goods (lithium batteries, compressed gases) require prior authorization and specialized packing.

Air freight is calculated based on chargeable weight (the greater of actual gross weight or volumetric weight: L x W x H in cm / 6000). Ocean freight is calculated per CBM (Cubic Meter) or by container size (20ft / 40ft). Additional charges may apply for customs brokerage, insurance, and handling.

Yes. We offer optional comprehensive Marine Cargo Insurance covering loss, damage, or theft during transit for both air and ocean shipments at competitive premium rates to safeguard your commercial freight investment.

Questions regarding our upcoming cross-border e-commerce marketplace and seller onboarding portal.
